Introductory workshop to new partner organizations in Nepal


AWO International has successfully organized a two day introductory workshop for its new partner organizations in Nepal. The workshop was held on 18th and 19th June 2018 at AWO International’s office in Lalitpur. The new partners are taken up to expand AWO International’s development interventions in the country towards promotion of safe migration, protection of migrants’ rights and anti-human trafficking issues. The new project will be implementing in two districts: Ilam and Makwanpur, province no. 1 and 3 respectively.

The new partner from Ilam district named Human Rights Forum (HuRF) has a long experience in promotion and protection of human rights, peace and justice, gender and social inclusion in the district. Similarly, the second new partner from Makawanpur district named Women Skill Creation Center (WOSCC) has experience in entrepreneurship development, livelihood promotion, gender empowerment, women empowerment against human trafficking and slavery. Ilam and Makawanpur district are belonging to the top ten districts with high women foreign employment.

During the workshop the partner organizations were introduced to AWO International and its interventions. Besides an overall introduction to AWO International’s history and work, the specific proposal writing tool kit, budgeting format, social structure approach, concept of Result Based Management (RBM), logical framework approach, problem analysis and development of log frame were shared with the participants as well. The input sessions were based on thematic concept followed with group works. The workshop was insightful to the participants. A total of five participants took part in the workshop. The workshop was primarily moderated by the Head Representative and the Program Coordinator of AWO International.
