New Head Representative of AWO International in South Asia

On 1st January 2016 Ines Budarick took over the representation of AWO International for Nepal, Bangladesh and India from Felix Neuhaus who returns to Europe after seven years in South Asia. Mrs. Budarick has a master degree in South Asian Studies and is very familiar with the culture and languages of the working countries. She has worked in Germany as a General Manager for a NGO and as a Country Representative for a German NGO in Nepal before. She will be based in AWO International’s Regional Office - in Lalitpur, Nepal.

In the last three years Felix Neuhaus extended the regional portfolio of AWO International in South Asia, incorporated the new strategic focus on safe migration & counter trafficking, increased thematic networking and set up a stabile Humanitarian Aid cell with regular DRR projects and relief interventions within the region. The results-based project management mechanisms were further strengthened in all cooperation projects during his tenure
